Who is this course for?
This 2 hour class is suitable for students who have completed other glass fusing classes that have included cutting glass to size and shape - this is an intermediate level to help you progress your cutting skills and knowledge.
This session will allow you the opportunity to improve your skills and try your own designs and ideas with the guidance of Karen.
What does the course cover?
Karen will teach you the technique of creating Decorative Glass using specialist Bullseye glass, creating your own designs in preparation for it to be fired in our kiln. Beginning by deciding on your own design - perhaps a set of Tulips or another of your choosing - you will be guided through the process of creating your design using glass.
The aim of this class is to improve your cutting skills and your knowledge and confidence.
IMPORTANT Information - The piece will be 20cm x 20cm Clear tekta glass and this will be precut to size - you are welcome to prepare designs to that size (or cut the tekta to difference sizes for your own project) prior to your class and Karen will guide you on how to adapt and create this in glass (if possible).
Please Note - This is not a 'Frit' based class. There will be some limited Frit available but the panels cannot be made using frit alone or majority frit - Please join our Frit Panel Class for this type of work. Your piece/pieces will then be fired in our kiln and ready for collection on a date to be agreed.
What is included in the fee?
Your fee includes tuition by Karen, the use of tools and equipment and all materials.
Each student can make one piece of your own design (a max of 20x20cms)
There is a maximum of 6 students per class to ensure individual attention.
Please note your pieces are fired in our kiln and will be ready for collection at a later date.
