Who is this course for?
This three week course runs over 3 consecutive weeks and is aimed at beginners but is suitable for all levels.
What does the course cover?
An introduction to working with glass, this three week course will teach you the craft of glass fusing and frit work. During this course you will create your own glass coasters, window hanging and jewellery.
Week One - Introduction to fusing by making jewellery, creating your own designs and putting them in the kiln ready for the following week to add hooks and bails.
Week Two - completing your jewellery and then moving onto creating a window hanging.
Week Three - Combining everything you have learned so far to create a final piece that can be molded to a shape.
What is included in the fee?
Your fee includes tuition by an experienced stained glass designer, the use of tools and equipment and materials.
We keep the classes small, maximum of four people plus tutor to ensure you receive our full attention and have an enjoyable experience.
What do I need to bring?
Please wear sturdy and fully enclosed footwear (no open toes or gaping sides) and clothing that you do not mind getting dirty or damaged.
A face covering must be worn throughout the class
Please bring your own apron to protect your clothing
Please ensure long hair is tied back.
All drink containers/bottles must have lids.
No food can be consumed within the classroom

All our classes are for age 16 and over, unless otherwise specified.
Course terms and conditions:
COVID - We have limited the numbers attending each class to allow us to maintain social distancing. You will be required to wear a face covering throughout the class. You will be provided with your own set of tools and equipment and asked to remain within your allocated space at the workbench. The work area and tools are cleaned between classes. Toilet facilities are available. You may bring your own drinks as we will not be able to provide refreshments, all cups and containers must be enclosed wth a lid. Food is not permitted. You will be asked to complete a Covid self assessment form prior to coming to the class.
If you are experiencing any symptoms of Covid or are subject to quarantine/isolation restrictions please do not attend. A full refund will be given under these curcumstances at any time.
In the event of a course being cancelled by The GlassHouse a full refund will be issued.
For cancellations by the student 4 weeks in advance we offer a full refund or one free date change. If a date change has been requested, we cannot offer a refund on a subsequent cancellation.
For cancellations of 4 weeks or less we are unable to offer a refund or date change on class places.
However, if we are able to re-sell your place a refund in full will be made at all times.
