Fused Glass Sycamore Gap Curve

Who is this course for?

Level 1 (beginners) and above - This 2 hour class is suitable for all levels - including beginners

What does the course cover?

Karen will teach you the technique of creating Decorative Glass using specialist glass, creating your own design in preparation for it to be fired in our kiln. 

This class is to design a Sycamore Gap piece using both cut glass and frit.

What is included in the fee?

Your fee includes tuition by Karen, the use of tools and equipment and all materials. 

Each student can make one piece of your own design.

There is a maximum of 6 students per class to ensure individual attention. 

Please note your pieces are taken away to be fired and will be ready for collection 2 weeks after the class.  Glass colours and texture change during the firing process, our tutor will guide you during your class on the potential results but we cannot guarantee the finish and/or your expectation of the final result.  

Important Information;

This class is specifically to create a sycamore gap curve.

If you would like to make an alternative design please book our other curve class where you will be welcome to make any design of your choice.

The glass used during this class must be a combination of both cut glass and frit and colours will be provided to allow this scene to be created.  The class does not include glass painting.

What do I need to bring?

• Please wear sturdy and fully enclosed footwear (no open toes or gaping sides) and clothing that you do not mind getting dirty or damaged. 
• Please ensure long hair is tied back. 
• You may bring your own drinks. All drink containers/bottles must have lids.

No food can be consumed within the classroom

All our classes are for age 16 and over, unless otherwise specified.

Course terms and conditions:

Cancellation and Attendance Policy;

• In the event of a class being cancelled by the Host, the option of a full refund will be issued, or the student may request a date transfer if available.
• Cancellations by the student over 28 days of the class date – we will offer a full refund or date transfer (transfer subject to - if another date is available) at the discretion of the student. If a date change has been requested, we cannot offer a refund on a subsequent cancellation.
• Cancellations by the student within 28 days of the class date – we are unable to offer a refund or date change.  Please see following information:
• If we are able to re-sell your place a refund will be given at all times, and every effort will be made to re-sell at all times.  You may transfer your place to a person of your choice, friend or family, please notify us of the name change.  In the event of an emergency, illness, family emergency etc – our terms and conditions apply.
• Non-attendance – if you do not attend on the day of your class, you will not be eligible for a refund or class transfer.
• Bookings made using Gift Certificates – terms and conditions apply as above.
• Kiln firing - all fused pieces are fired by an experienced fusing artist.  However occassionally pieces can fracture during firing through no fault of the operator.  On these occassions we cannot offer a refund unless the breakage is due to negligence on our part.
• Payment of your class fee is deemed as acceptance of our terms and conditions.
